  • How should I start but just to say my family roots started from my stay at the stouffer's Hotel. Our family is small but big in heart. We have dinner's together regularly. Our dog is 15 years old and he is also a dinner time friend. We know he enjoys part of our dinner every time mixed with his own dinner because he loves home cooking. We love to watch him do the happy dance after dinner.

  • My parents would ask "what did you learn in school". As a teacher, I give my students a "fun fact for the dinner table" each week

  • When my brother comes to visit, we always tease each other about the meals we used to make up in the backyard. It creates great memories.

  • I have relatives come monthly for dinner and this is the best time for us to get everyone to chat. It's always comfortable to start with some "remember when" stories so everyone is laughing and remembering when we all went bowling, or the dog got away in teh new neighborhood, etc. This naturally gets everyone talking about more fun things to plan and the conversation is off and running.

  • We have found that asking our dinner guests for help gets the conversation going. Ask your tean what color the bathroom should be painted, and why.
